Labelling your equipment with your details can help us quickly check that you are safe and well, if it is found washed up on the shore. It also helps us to reunite you with your items should they get lost or blown out to sea.

Child safety wristbands
Write your telephone number on these paper wristbands to help reunite you with your child, should you become separated at the beach. Wristbands may also be available from lifeguards at the beach.

With the Met Office app you can stay updated with the latest predictions, including beach-specific forecasts and advice to help you plan the best time to go out. Always check the weather before heading out to the coast, as storms and high winds can be extremely dangerous. Remember, mist, fog and high winds are more likely at the coast too.
